Project Description
This research project will explore the impact of AI tools on the learning of business writing by undergraduate students. The primary goal is to investigate the extent to which undergraduate students’ proficiency in business writing can be enhanced through the utilization of AI tools, such as ChatGPT, both inside and outside the classroom. Furthermore, the project seeks to explore effective strategies for instructors to leverage technology in order to address the unique learning needs of undergraduate students in this domain. The student researchers involved in this project will conduct a review of existing literature on the use of technology, particularly AI tools, for supporting undergraduate students in their acquisition of business writing skills. Additionally, they will identify and evaluate digital tools that instructors can employ to provide meaningful support and guidance to their students.
Technology or Computational Component
Through collaborative efforts, we will deepen our understanding of the application of AI tools in educational environments and their potential to enhance the business writing skills and learning experiences of undergraduate students. This research project involves collecting data utilizing these digital tools and conducting in-depth analyses to derive valuable pedagogical insights. By exploring the affordances of digital tools, we seek to develop a comprehensive understanding of how they can contribute to improving undergraduate students’ business writing proficiency and overall learning outcomes.
