Project Description
All business students learn about accounting standards through A100, A201 and A202. But not much time is spent examining the leaders of accounting standard setting organizations. This research study will dive into the biographies of recent FASB (Financial Accounting Standards Board) and PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Boards) to consider their professional networks, education, and functional backgrounds.
Technology or Computational Component
Students will be expected to use Stata to analyze data and possibly UCI net for network analysis. No experience is necessary.
