Registration for the Women's Research Poster Competition has closed.
Who can participate? This is an interdisciplinary competition and all women, graduate and undergraduate, whose research connects or utilizes technology, science, informatics, or math are invited to come and present their research. We are not just open to traditional "STEM" (Science, Tecnology, Education, & Math) fields, but invite posters from any discipline - from education to fine arts, and from biology to business - whose research intersects with technology. Both individual and team presentations are welcome, and there is no fee for participating in the poster competition.
What are the poster requirements? All posters submitted should be 4 feet wide by 3 feet long in dimensions. A horizontal or landscape presentation is preferred, but not required. We will provide easels at the competition to display posters, as well as binder clips to attach the posters to the board.
What are the prizes? The poster competition will be divided into five categories: Technology & Computing, Life Sciences, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Health Sciences, and Social and Behavorial Sciences. Prizes of $100 will be given in recognition of the top graduate and undergraduate posters in each category. A description of each catecory can be found HERE.
- Prior to the competition, entrants will be required to upload an optimized PDF of their poster to THIS BOX FOLDER.
- Dress for the competition is business casual.
- Posters can be printed at the Wells Library. Prices vary, but a standard 3x4 poster costs $14.85.
- Registrants must indicate in which category their poster should be placed. See the category descriptions HERE.
