CEWiT is seeking freshmen and sophomore women at IU-Bloomington to apply for the new Emerging Scholars Research Experiences for Undergraduate Women (CEWiT-REUW) program.

Twenty freshmen and sophomore IU-Bloomington students will be chosen to participate in the program and will be able to earn up to $2000 in research support funding.  The students will spend up to 10 hours a week working with faculty mentors on a research project in addition to taking a 2-credit research methods class in the spring 2015 term.

When students apply, they will be able to pick from 35 possible research projects from various disciplines, ranging from social work, to biology, to gender studies, to fine arts, to optometry, to theater, and more. All projects will actively engage students in the creative and innovative use of computing and/or technology in research.

For more information on the program, as well as to view the available research projects, please see the REU page on our website. The deadline to apply is Friday, October 17.
