Faculty members interested in updating and showcasing their tech skills are invited to participate in the Badges@IU pilot program. Co-sponsored by the Learning Technologies division of UITS and FACET (Faculty Colloquium for Excellence on Teaching), Badges@IU will offer Basic, Proficient, and Advanced training in various topic areas. The topics currently being offered are:
- Teaching with an eText
- Developing an instructional online presence
- Course materials accessibility
Participation is free and open to any IU faculty members. Those interested can visit the Badges@IU website to sign up with their IU username and password. They will gain access to the badging system and will be able to track their progress through the program. Each track includes opportunities for reflection, course application planning, and the creation of sample artifacts. A FACET Peer Review is required for completion of the Advanced badge.
