Networking.

The word alone can strike fear in the hearts of many. It’s so awkward and uncomfortable! It’s so inauthentic! It’s just so…so…exhausting.

Yet, it's so important! Networking is an essential part of advancing your career. That's why the CEWiT Summit hosts a Networking Mocktail Reception every year.  This year, the reception is Friday, February 10 from 5:15 - 6:00pm in the Tudor Room of the Indiana Memorial Union. Present at this reception will be other students, IU faculty, staff, and alums, as well as representatives from the employers who will be attending the banquet that immediately follows the reception.

To help put those who are uncomforable with and/or new to networking at ease, students can attend a "Networking Tips" session just before the reception at 5:00pm in the Tudor Room.  In this session, open only to students, you’ll learn  practical tips for how to work a room while networking from a representative of the IU School of Informatics and Computing Career Services.  Come get coached on how to make the most of the Mocktails Networking Session!
