CEWiT is hiring a Graduate Assistant

The Indiana University Center of Excellence for Women in Excellence (CEWiT) is hiring one student position for the 2015-2016 school year: 

Graduate Assistant
This person will report to the Program Manager and work closely with the Director, as well as the faculty, staff, and student alliances. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists Program Manager with administrative duties, such as sending communications, researching resources, maintaining the mailing list, and planning events 
  • Researches, creates, and codes (HTML) content for the CEWiT website and eNewsletter
  • Assists with the coordination of CEWiT's annual Techie Women Have More... technology conference, including mainting conference website and organizing panel sessions
  • Represents CEWiT at campus events and programs in order to share information about the center to prospective affiliates

Remuneration includes a $13,525 stipend for 10 months, tuition remission, and health insurance. This position is 50% FTE and therefore is a 20-hour-per-week commitment. This position will require occasional evening and weekend hours.

Qualifications: Must be a current graduate student at IU Bloomington during the 2015-16 school year. Knowledge of HTML and CSS required. Exprience with IU's WCMS and SiteBuilder preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, demonstrated evidence of initiative, detail-oriented, well-organized, and the ability to plan and execute programs and events with little supervision.
