Open to any Indiana University faculty, staff, student or alumna, or area high school studentds, the conference will offer breakout workshops, networking, a Career Expo and keynote presentation by Avis Yates Rivers, president and CEO of Technology Concepts Group International (TCGi).
Rivers has an extensive professional background in the tech sector and is a Director of the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT). Her keynote will take place at the conference banquet on Feb. 26 and is titled, “10 Things to Know About Girls, Women and Technology.”
The Career Expo will take place on Feb. 27, 1-3:30 p.m. with companies like Accenture, Ernst & Young LLP, PwC and Target. A full list of employers is located on the conference website. Student participants who are looking for an internship or job in the tech field or curious about what career options are available can bring a resume and meet with several company representatives.
Techie Women Have More… is free, but registration is required by midnight, Feb. 23, and attendees will receive a t-shirt. Those looking to build new tech skills, learn about career opportunities, and network with other IU faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.
