SIGs Co-Host Alumna for Industry Networking Talk

Indiana University alum Mary Kenney (B.A., ‘13 – Journalism), managing editor of Modern Counsel andThe Alumni Society magazines, visited Indiana University on April 5 to present her talk, “Break In! How to meet the right people, the right way, in the video game industry.”
She discussed how to reach out to people (and which ones), networking etiquette, and the different ways to learn about industry key players, including how to use social media (LinkedIn and Twitter) for personal branding and professional networking.

This talk was was co-hosted by the Social Media and Women in Game Design Special Interest Groups (SIGs). CEWiT SIGs nurture the growing diversity in our organization by providing "micro" communities where members can network and build technology awareness and skills in focused areas of common interest.
