Gender Equality and Male Advocacy Discussion

On April 12, Dr. Michael Kimmel, one of the world’s leading experts on men and masculinities, a featured TED Talk speaker, and the SUNY Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at Stony Brook University, will speak about gender equity and male advocacy for women in technology and STEM in the Whittenberger Auditorium in the IMU at 7pm. The title of his talk is Engaging Men for Gender Equality.

A Q&A and reception will follow the talk. Anyone is welcome to attend. The talk is co-sponsored by Google, CEWiT, the SOIC PIT Crew (Promoting Inclusivity in Technology), and SOIC Women in Computing.
