CEWiT is Hiring a Part-Time Student Marketing Assistant for the 16-17 Academic Year

The Indiana University Center of Excellence for Women in Excellence (CEWiT) is hiring a part-time marketing assistant position for the 16-17 academic year.
The position requires a 10-15 hour per week commitment, starting in the fall. Work will be done during business hours (Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm), with occasional weekend and evening hours necessary. Most work is done in CEWiT's office in Bryan Hall, but arrangments can be made for some work to be done remotely.

The Marketing Assistant is responsible for creating a campaign to elevate the status of computing and IT technology as an attractive and engaging career possibility for women, as well as helping CEWiT to market its programs and events. The ideal candidate will be an MBA student with a Bachelor’s degree in a field such as journalism, communications, or marketing. We will consider undergraduate marketing majors with experience in developing and implementing campaigns. Other desired qualifications are strong oral and written communication skills, strong analytical, critical thinking, and planning abilities, demonstrated evidence of initiative, detail-oriented, well organized, and the ability to plan and execute marketing campaigns with little supervision.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with relevant parties to develop and implement a holistic communications plan that includes strategic media and public relations, branding, and marketing to promote the mission, efforts, alliances, and programs of CEWiT.
- Direct the execution of communication pieces with the PR and graphics design interns, including, but not limited to:
- Advertising (digital, print and guerilla)
- Bulletin Boards
- Direct mail
- Program Guides
- Social Media
