CEWiT Women's eMentor Program
The CEWiT eMentor Program is offering two unique electronic mentoring (eMentoring) programs to match female students with trained IU alumnae mentors based on professional aspirations, common interests, and background. Mentors and mentees meet virtually once per month to share, discuss, and connect.
Will YOU become a mentor to a current IUB student in one of the following programs?
- CEWiT Women's eMentor Program
Both of our programs focus on career development, networking, confidence building, and real-work environment awareness with an emphasis on support, retention, and the unique challenges of being a woman in the workforce. eMentors serve as an advocate, a sounding board and role model. If you are interested in providing encouragement, support, guidance, and advice to an undergraduate woman, please see the CEWiT Women’s eMentor Program for more information and to sign up.
- CEWiT Black Women in STEM eMentor Program
We took input from IU Black women studying STEM majors and used it to build the CEWiT Black Women in STEM eMentor Program. The students wish to connect with an IU Black alumnae professionals who studied in a STEM major or currently works in a tech field. This mentorship opportunity is designed to support students by answering student’s questions, sharing your own professional experiences regarding career development, confidence building, tips for success, navigating the politics of academia, internship coaching, pathways to success, and self-management in a majority white dominated place (school or work). You can also choose to participate in the general Women’s eMentor Program at CEWiT where you will be matched with any woman student and ethnicity is not a consideration. For more information about it, visit CEWiT Women's eMentor Program.
